Weight

Let’s kick off the description with weight! Weight is an important factor for any saw, there is no exception in this one.

But not all table saw are of the same kind. Some table saws can be used for working anywhere, I mean LEGIT anywhere. It can be your home, workplace or a friend’s house but some saws are made in such a way that they work on specific places or can work on different places but portability isn’t very easy.

Likewise, this saw isn’t a product that supports portability and the weight is pretty much high. But you can’t blame the product because it was made to serve us as a cabinet saw. It has a weight of 465 pounds which isn’t much when to compare it to other cabinet saws.

Blade

When it comes to blades, we all know how important that is. A bad blade will not only destroy your work but also consume more time.

We all desire to have a sharper and stronger blade. A sharper blade will make the cutting of wood very easy for you and it will have a greater chance of being more accurate compared to a blunt one.

A stronger blade means there are less chances of getting it bent. A bent blade will cause zig-zag patterns in your saw which is a nightmare!

You don’t need to worry about any of those things because this saw has got it covered it for you. It has both sharp as well as strong blades.

Furthermore, you can use dado blades in this saw making it a popular choice for a lot of buyers. Dado cuts are vital for a lot of projects and imagine a table saw not allowing you that when you need it.

Motor

A motor works as the heart of a table saw. If the motor isn’t very impressive then there isn’t much you can expect from the saw.

This saw won’t disappoint you in that, it has a 15 amps motor which is very powerful when it combines with 1.75 HP. You will have no issues dealing with hardwoods plus it will save you time. It has a no-load RPM of 4200 which is massive!

Not only that!

You can work nonstop with this saw because this motor has an amperage of 15 which means it can keep itself cool for hours.

Fence

When it comes to accuracy, a fence plays a vital role in providing you with that. A proper fence not only provides you with accuracy but also safety. Injuries are certain without a good fence.

But, you don’t need to worry when it comes to this saw. This saw has one of the best fences in the market.

The Accu fence of this saw will provide you with an amazing experience because your cuts will be accurate as well as the blade will be rigid.

Structure

The structure of a table saw determines how a table will turn out to be. While looking at the saw, one of the first things that are noticed is the length of the table which is larger.

This allows medium and large projects to take place. Furthermore, the table is made up of cast iron which increases the durability of the table. The table will last!

The bevel scale of this saw is large which is a massive advantage for the user because the scale will be easier to read. You don’t need to worry about the miter gauge because it is built in such a way that the adjustments are very easy to make.

Besides, the arbor lock is something you can BRAG about! It makes changing of blades very easy, so easy that you can change them one-handed.

There is this ONE more thing that is WORTH mentioning and that is the dust collecting system. It is safe to call it one of the best in the market if not the best!

Cutting capacity

Well, this is what will define how well you can cope up with the woods with this saw. The maximum cutting depth of wood at 45° is 2-1/8 inches and the maximum cutting depth of wood at 90° is 3-1/8 inches.

These values are impressive when it comes to any type of saw. Moreover, the maximum rip to the left of the blade is 12 and on the right is 30. These values speak for themselves!

This fact that this saw allows dado blades are a huge advantage already. The maximum width and diameter are what most of the users prefer. The maximum diameter of the dado blade is 8 inches and the maximum width is 13/16.

Safety

Using a table saw makes it easier to complete your dream project in no time! That is true but we all know how dangerous a table saw can be.

Things can take major turns using a table saw, in a split second your situation can be turned from slicing wood to slicing a finger.

And that is why safety features are very important for both experienced and beginners.

The Powermatic PM1000 doesn’t have much to take about when it comes to safety. It has a guard and a riving knife is will play a vital role when it comes to safety. The riving knife ensures that there is a gap between the woods and also makes sure that the wood doesn’t get very close to the blade.

This prevents insane kick-back from happening!

Features

  • The miter gauge is sturdy and pivots 60° on each side which results in easy adjustments.
